Building A Library of Connections
Building your child's library of books is important. Books mark the passages of time and the various chapters in our lives. These books below are part of my classroom as well as my child's personal collection. When I scan across my child's library, I want to see books that are reflective of our family values, family culture, and stories that are full of imagination and wonder. My husband is Asian but he is fluent in Spanish. My son is Ethiopian. And I.... am... well ... an All American Cali Girl. Books create conversation. I seek books that I can not only share the author's words and message... But, I want to share about the illustrator and the author's life as well.
